We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.
Responsibility:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
- Manage DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and other network components
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot outages or errors
- Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases
- Support cloud-based tools and ensure secure access management
- Document IT procedures and contribute to system improvements
Skill :
Key Skills Required
- Proficiency in Windows & Linux system administration
- Experience with networking (DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- Knowledge of SQL Server and database troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Docker, IIS, and cloud-based tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Qualification Required:
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments
- Experience with SQL Server, Docker, IIS, and networking protocols
- Certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, or Microsoft MCP are a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibility:
    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Community Mobilization and Engagement
  • Mobilize communities to actively participate in WASH project activities and
    initiatives.

  • Conduct community sensitization meetings, awareness campaigns, and hygiene
    promotion sessions.

  • Support establishment and strengthening of existing community WASH
    committees and user groups.

  • Facilitate community dialogue and participation during project planning and
    implementation

    2. Hygiene Promotion and Behavior Change
  • Promote positive hygiene and sanitation behaviors at household, school, and
    community levels.

  • Conduct training and awareness sessions on handwashing, sanitation, menstrual
    hygiene management, and safe water handling practices.

  • Support implementation of Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and other
    behavior change approaches where applicable.

  • Develop and distribute IEC (Information, Education, and Communication)
    materials
    3. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Work closely with village leaders, district authorities, schools, health facilities,
    and community volunteers.
  • Support coordination of community events, campaigns, and WASH-related
    advocacy activities.
  • Strengthen relationships between communities and project stakeholders to
    ensure local ownership and sustainability mechanisms, and beneficiary
    feedback systems are functional.
    4. Monitoring and Reporting
  • Timely collect community feedback and support monitoring of project activities
    and community participation.
  • Prepare activity reports, success stories, and field updates.
  • Support data collection, beneficiary tracking, and documentation of lessons
    learned and best practices.
  • Ensure accountability and safeguarding standards are maintained during field
    activities
    5. Capacity Building
  • Train community volunteers, water committees, and local structures on WASH
    practices and community participation.
    Support capacity building initiatives aimed at sustaining WASH facilities and
    hygiene practices at community level
    6. Admin and Budgetary Control.
  • Prepare activity proposals, budget request (BRQ), Final Spending Summary
    (FSS), activity reports, and other budget related aspects in line with the
    organizations standards (templates, guidelines, timing etc.), and in line with
    approved activity budget.
  • Administration duties including staff attendance management support, vehicle
    and logistics support, office management, office utilities control, official
    letters management and others.
    7. Perform any other related work as may be required
Skill :

Qualification Required:
    Qualification, experiences and competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Public Health, Social Work,
    Environmental Health, Sociology, Rural development planning, or related field

  • Knowledge of hygiene promotion, sanitation approaches, and community engagement
    methodologies

  • Experience working with local government authorities and rural communities.
  • Ability to work independently and in multicultural rural environments.
  • A good understanding of GNTZ operations is an added advantage
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in community mobilization, WASH programming,or related humanitarian/development work.
